ÜberWoW
In middle school, I built a private World of Warcraft server that let players experience the game in completely new ways, eventually attracting ~100 concurrent players. It became my first true sandbox for learning how things work and building: writing custom Lua/C++ scripts, tuning combat and progression systems, stitching together web and in-game databases, and constantly troubleshooting to keep the world alive, manage configurations, and battle for uptime—all hosted from the Alienware desktop glowing in the corner of my bedroom.
